Meet your Builder

Craig Kempson is The Villas at Culp Arbor’s Construction Manager.  A  professional in his field with over 15 years of experience overseeing residential construction in the greater Triangle Area, Craig has proficiency  in both single and multi-family homebuilding.  He brings to Epcon Communities a track record of excellence both in the successful neighborhoods he has developed as well as in unsurpassed service to his customers.    

A native North Carolinian, Craig became active in construction projects between semesters in college working as a laborer on the Historic Downtown Asheville restoration project.  This project took an old urban district and helped transform it into a major tourist destination.  Not only was this work a great way to make money for college, it instilled in Craig a desire to build something which lasts; a source of great personal satisfaction that has permanence and one he can return to often.  Now he shares  proudly with his children how this first job gave way to the career he loves and excels in today.  

After graduation from North Carolina State University, Craig became active in local construction management, having since worked on multiple projects throughout  the Triangle in six different municipalities.  He knows construction, inspections and customer service like only an accomplished veteran can.  He is very excited about making Epcon Communities’ Villas at Culp Arbor the premier project of its type in the region;   perhaps more importantly, he will build you a home which meets your needs and exceeds your expectations now and for many years to come.  

Building Process

From the start of the foundation to the closing date we follow a detailed process all aimed at making sure the home is 100% complete at the time of closing.

You will be invited to visit your home under construction during two critical phases - pre-framing and pre-drywall.  At these times, you will meet with Craig to review any of your selections, special instructions or general building issues.

Approximately one week prior to closing you will meet with Craig again during the New Home Orientation.  At this time, you will tour your new home to learn about the various electrical and mechanical components of your home and to review any unresolved construction items.

While the new home building process is exciting, we also recognize that it is also stressfull.  We intend to communicate with you weekly as your home is being built to keep you informed of our progress and to help you through the process.
