The BIA Recognizes the Industry’s Top Sales and Marketing Professionals
COLUMBUS, Ohio (July 24, 2020) - The Building Industry Association of Central Ohio (BIA) celebrated its first ever virtual Building Industry Gala (BIG) Night on Thursday, July 23. BIG Night was created to honor the top achievers in the new home industry. BIG award winners cross all BIA membership ranks and include builders, interior designers, architects, landscapers, suppliers, remodelers, realtors and more. Outstanding BIA members were recognized during an event highlighted by both tradition and innovation.
“Given the current circumstance with the COVID-19 pandemic we made a quick shift from and in person event to a video showcase,” explained BIA President, Jim Lipnos, “This ensured the safety of our members without losing the opportunity to recognize our outstanding BIA members and award winners. They have well earned their award.”
The Million Dollar Top Producer awards are non-judged, and volume based. The dates the awards reflect range January 1, 2019 thru December 31, 2019.
Top Producer Builder Sales: Kristy Rahfeek and Jennifer Willis with Westport Homes, A D.R. Horton Company
Top Producer for REALTOR – Lari Madosky Shaw, Coldwell Banker King Thompson
Top Producer for New Home Title Representative: Mark Martin
Top Producer for New Home Loan Originator: Deena Crawford
Sales Professional of the year: Emily Harman, M/I Homes
Marketing Director of the Year: Rae Lemley with Rockford Homes
The Grand Marketing Award goes to a BIA member who has shown excellence in sales, marketing and design. Winners are determined by the points from their top entry from four different categories totaled. The award goes to the Builder, Remodeler and Associate member.

“We could not be prouder of the work all BIA members put forth in 2019,” Said Lipnos, “This particular set of individuals had no easy task to shine amongst such a hard-working group of industry professionals. Yet, they did so, and for that, we acknowledge their dedication to the industry and the Association and are beyond proud of their accomplishments.”
The initial date of the event was scheduled for April 23 but due to COVID-19 restrictions was postponed to July 23 and eventually shifted to a Showcase Video event.
